Hi there! I’m Lanz and I love making fun, entertaining and unforgettable projects. Ever since I was a kid, I have been fascinated with cartoons, comics, design and aesthetic, thus leading me to pursue Digital Design. My main skill is illustration but thanks to my course, I have learned to combine illustrations with storytelling and make drawings come to life in the form of motion graphics and animation.
Adobe Photoshop is my domain, whether it’s for digital illustration, frame-by-frame animation or photo-editing but After Effects is a close second, used mainly for motion graphics, followed by Illustrator and a bit of Indesign on the side.
A fun yet informative video educating viewers about the design principle: entry point, by using a dungeon keeper who needs help re-decorating his dungeon as an example.
A mock-demo of a mobile side-scrolling game called ‘Zip’. The brief was to create the art for the game and make a video to show how everything would look in the actual game.
For this project, the aim was to incorporate three given words (a shape, an object and an emotion) into a short animation without the use of words. In this case they are: square, toast and surprise.
