Starting my studies with Graphic Design my interests moved to Digital Design when I discovered 2D and 3D animation. I left a double major to pursue electives covering my interests in film, TV and gaming. In doing so I have boosted my skills in animation, among other disciplines like VFX compositing and web development. I have become competent in After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Maya and am currently exploring ZBrush and Cinema 4D. I use every project as a chance to tinker with these programs and learn more techniques to achieve better results. I find anything to do with 3D exciting and will be attending SIGGRAPH Asia this year in the hopes of learning more about it and explore the use of VR.
Tasked with creating a title sequence to a show of our choosing, I picked Westworld season 2 for its heavy use in 3D in its first seasons titles. Using the shows themes of creation, corruption and memory. I tried to composite a sequence that reflects the evolution the show has taken from the first season.
My first Project using Maya, I created this interior design based on the sky-tower from the film 'Oblivion'. Modelled entirely by visual reference to the film, I added my own design to the textures to create a unique appearance and make it my own.
Part of my interior design project tasked me with creating a complex object to place in the scene. I chose to challenge myself and model a gun based on a design from the game 'Deus Ex'. Having no real-world object to reference from was difficult but it was worth the effort.
